When producing mocassins or shoes with sewn-in socks (Strobel process) it is essential to steam the uppers prior to 'force lasting'. The Model D 36 - 4 gives guaranteed, intensive humidification.
The adjustment and operation of the unit is that a 10-litre water tank is filled and set upon the unit.
The main switch is then turned on and a setting of 180 - 230 on the electronic heating regulator is selected.
With this unit it is possible to steam insides of four uppers at one time.
All parts which are in contact with water are of nun-rust material.
A feature of the unit is overload protection, in case of the unit being allowed to run dry inadvertently.
In this way damage to the heating element is avoided.
